動物のカードにキュートな英語のフレーズを入れます。

何を作ろうかな？

最後までこだわって作りました。みんな上手！

　２月１３日（火）のlibrary activiyは，バレンタインカード作り。

　英語のフレーズをダジャレのようにもじって，可愛らしい動物のカードを作りました。
　Valentineには「大切な人、恋人」という意味がありますが，ハチのカードには「"Beee" My Valentine!」，ネコのカードには「You're my "Puurrrr”fect Valentine!」，そしてクマのカードには「I love you "Beary" much!」と言った具合です。

　バレンタインがどんな日なのか，アメリカと日本の違いなどをおしゃべりして，カードに書かれた意味を理解できたら作成開始！
　工夫を凝らしてかわいいカードを作りつつ恋愛話にも花が咲き，和やかな時間を過ごすことができました。

　The number one aspect I enjoy about being an ALT is being able to share my American culture with my students.  And the best way to learn any language is learning an activity with that said language.

　For February,  the cultural activity we did in the library, was making Valentine`s Day cards.
　First,  I explained to the students how Americans do on Valentine`s Day.  And how we buy or make Valentine`s Day cards for our friends, family and significant others.  And then I had great fun explaining the English `puns` on these cards.

　`Beee My Valentine.`
　`You`re the puurrrrfect Valentine.`
　`I love you Beary much.`

　Can you guess which animals these puns belong to?
　I hope the students enjoyed the activity as much as I did.

３月のlibrary activityはお休みです。また来年度どんな活動ができるか楽しみに考えたいと思います。
